This wonderful example was restored by Lynn Mobley of Minden Nevada 9 years ago. That's less than a 10:1 power to weight ratio. A factory rated the MK2 at a conservative 27hp. The Metralla was revered in its day and still stands up to todays light weight motorbikes. They were also light and nimble, but the kind of fast you could squeeze out of a 250 was of a different sort than provided by today's motor bikes.
